HOUSE BILL NO. 406

FUNDS/FUNDING:  Provides for the transfer, deposit, and use of monies among state funds
1	AN ACT
2To provide relative to certain treasury funds; to provide for the transfer, deposit, and use, as
3 specified, of monies in certain treasury funds and accounts; to provide an effective
4 date; and to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1.  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the state treasurer
7is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $174,804,933, to be comprised wholly of
8nonrecurring revenues out of the State General Fund from the Fiscal Year 2020-2021
9surplus, as recognized by the Revenue Estimating Conference, to the Budget Stabilization
10Fund.
11 Section 2.(A)  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the state
12treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $10,000,000 from the State General
13Fund (Direct) into the Louisiana Outdoor Forever Fund contingent upon the Act which
14originated as House Bill No. ___ of this 2022 Regular Session of the Legislature becoming
15law.
16 (B)  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the state treasurer is
17hereby authorized and directed to transfer $134,832 from the Conservation Fund to the Crab
18Development, Management, and Derelict Crab Trap Removal Account.
19 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
20signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
21by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If

1vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
2effective on the day following such approval.

Forever Fund contingent upon the Act which originated as House Bill No. ___ of the 2022
Regular Session of the Legislature becoming law.
Proposed law transfers $134,832 from the Conservation Fund into the Crab Development,
Management, and Derelict Crab Trap Removal Account.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
