Abstract:  Prohibits deferred dispositional agreements from being available for juveniles convicted
of a crime of violence.
Present law (Ch.C. Art. 801 et seq.) provides for delinquency proceedings.
Present law (Ch.C. Art. 896) provides that any time after the entry of an adjudication order, the court
may suspend further proceedings and place the child on supervised or unsupervised probation. Proposed law prohibits deferred dispositional agreements from being available in cases where the
child has been convicted of a crime of violence.
