1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 33:2554(C)(3)(introductory paragraph), relative to the municipal
3 fire and police civil service; to provide relative to the certification and appointment
4 of eligible persons in the police department for the city of Rayne; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
7 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
8 Louisiana.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
10 Section 1. R.S. 33:2554(C)(3)(introductory paragraph) is hereby amended and
11 reenacted to read as follows:

16 (3) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, in the cities
17 of Broussard, Carencro, Rayne, Scott, and Youngsville, a vacant position in the
18 police department shall be filled in the following manner:
