ACT 222 (HB 548) 2022 Regular Session Freeman
New law requires the state Dept. of Education (DOE), in collaboration with the La. Dept. of
Health and medical practitioners in certain fields, to develop health and safety guidelines
relative to integrating digital devices in public schools. Requires DOE to distribute the
guidelines to public school governing authorities by Jan. 1, 2023, and to annually review the
guidelines.
Effective upon signature of governor (May 31, 2022).
