Abstract: Provides relative to the removal of a judgeship in the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court upon
vacancy.
Present law requires the first judgeship that becomes vacant by death, resignation, retirement, or
removal during the term of office on or after Dec. 31, 2015, to be abolished the following day.
Proposed law changes the vacancy day from the following day to midnight of such day.
