HIGHWAYS: Designates a portion of Louisiana Highway 31 in Iberia Parish and St. Martin
Parish as the "Judge Paul deMahy Memorial Highway"
1 AN ACT
2To designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 31 in Iberia Parish and St. Martin Parish as the
3 "Judge Paul deMahy Memorial Highway"; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. The portion of Louisiana Highway 31 in Iberia Parish and St. Martin
6Parish up to the city limits shall be known and is hereby designated as the "Judge Paul
7deMahy Memorial Highway".
8 Section 2. The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
9hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
10provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
11actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to
12exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by the DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
