Designates a portion of La. Hwy. 31 in Iberia Parish and St. Martin Parish as the "Judge Paul
deMahy Highway", a portion of La. Hwy. 675 in Iberia Parish as the "Judge Charles L. Porter
Highway", a portion La. Hwy. 347 in St. Martin Parish as the "Judge Carl J. Williams Memorial
Parkway", and a portion of La. Hwy. 96 in St. Martin Parish as the "Judge C. Thomas Bienvenu, Jr.
Memorial Highway".
Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain appropriate
signage reflecting these highway designations provided local or private monies are received by the
DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each
sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
The Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Transportation, Highways and
Public Works to the original bill:
1. Change the highway name designation from "Judge Paul deMahy Memorial Highway"
to "Judge Paul deMahy Highway".
2. Add the following highway designations: 
(a)A portion of La. Hwy. 675 from the western city limits of New Iberia to U.S.
Hwy. 90 in Iberia Parish as the "Judge Charles L. Porter Highway".
(b)A portion of La. Hwy. 347 from La. Hwy. 96 in St. Martinville to La. Hwy. 350
in Parks located in St. Martin Parish shall be known and is hereby designated as
the "Judge Carl J. Williams Memorial Parkway".
(c)A portion of La. Hwy. 96 in the city limits of St. Martinville in St. Martin Parish
as the "Judge C. Thomas Bienvenu, Jr. Memorial Highway".
