HB 709 Engrossed 2022 Regular Session Selders
Abstract: Authorizes state-licensed behavioral health services providers to furnish services to
clients and patients regardless of the clients' and patients' location within the state.
Present law provides for licensure of behavioral health services providers by the La. Department of
Health.
Proposed law retains present law and stipulates that any facility, agency, institution, society,
corporation, partnership, unincorporated association, or group licensed as a behavioral health
services provider in accordance with present law may provide behavioral health services to any client
or patient in La. regardless of the client's or patient's particular location within the state.
