GREEN SHEET REDIGEST HB 709 2022 Regular Session Selders HEALTH/BEHAVIORAL: Authorizes behavioral health services providers to furnish services to clients and patients regardless of those persons' location within the state DIGEST Present law requires all behavioral health services providers to be licensed. Present law further provides that a license issued to a behavioral health services provider is valid for only one geographic location and issued only for the person and premises named in the license application. Proposed law retains present law but allows a licensed mental health professional or provisionally licensed mental health professional, who is employed by a licensed behavioral health service provider, to provide professional outpatient psychiatric services to any established client or patient, regardless of the client's or patient's particular location within the state.
