HB 709	2022 Regular Session	Selders
HEALTH/BEHAVIORAL: Authorizes behavioral health services providers to furnish
services to clients and patients regardless of those persons' location within the state
DIGEST
Present law requires all behavioral health services providers to be licensed. Present law
further provides that a license issued to a behavioral health services provider is valid for only
one geographic location and issued only for the person and premises named in the license
application.
Proposed law retains present law but allows a licensed mental health professional or
provisionally licensed mental health professional, who is employed by a licensed behavioral
health service provider, to provide professional outpatient psychiatric services to any
established client or patient, regardless of the client's or patient's particular location within
the state.
