HOUSE BILL NO. 71
BY REPRESENTATIVE MCMAHEN
HIGHWAYS:  Designates a portion of Louisiana Highway 371 in Webster Parish as the
"John David Crow Memorial Highway"
1	AN ACT
2To designate a portion of Louisiana Highway 371 as the "John David Crow Memorial
3 Highway"; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  The portion of Louisiana Highway 371 in Webster Parish from the
6Arkansas state line, the northern city limits of Springhill, to the southern most city limits of
7Cullen, shall be known and is hereby designated as the "John David Crow Memorial
8Highway" and appropriate signage reflecting the designation shall be posted on the left and
9right hand side of the highway.
10 Section 2.  The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
11hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
12provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
13actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installation of each sign, not to
14exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
