MOTOR VEHICLES:  Provides relative to penalties for violations of any driver or operator
of a vehicle
1	AN ACT
2To enact R.S. 32:191.1(F), relative to penalties for vehicle violations; to provide for the
3 application of certain penalties to violations of any driver or operator of a vehicle;
4 and to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1.  R.S. 32:191.1(F) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 ยง191.1.  Operating motorcycles on roadways laned for traffic

9	F.  Penalties imposed by this Chapter shall be applicable to any driver or
10 operator of a vehicle, as defined in R.S. 32:1, who is found guilty of or pleads guilty
11 or nolo contendere to a violation of the provisions of this Chapter, including this
12 Section, or any regulation of the department, secretary, and commissioner made
13 pursuant thereto.

Present law provides the provisions for operating a motorcycles on roadways and prescribes
penalties for violations of these provisions.
Proposed law retains present law and specifies that penalties imposed by present law are
applicable to any driver or operator of a vehicle, as defined in present law, who is found
guilty of or pleads guilty or nolo contendere to a violation of the provisions of present law,
including R.S. 32:191.1, or any regulation of the department, secretary, and commissioner
made pursuant thereto.
