Abstract: Specifies that certain penalties for vehicle violations are applicable to any driver or
operator of a vehicle.
Present law provides the provisions for operating a motorcycles on roadways and prescribes penalties
for violations of these provisions.
Proposed law retains present law and specifies that penalties imposed by present law are applicable
to any driver or operator of a vehicle, as defined in present law, who is found guilty of or pleads
guilty or nolo contendere to a violation of the provisions of present law, including R.S. 32:191.1, or
any regulation of the department, secretary, and commissioner made pursuant thereto.
