Code of Civil Procedure Article 4614 is hereby amended and reenacted 7to read as follows: 8 Art. 4614. Purchase by co-owner of property or interest sold 9 A. Any property or interest therein in the property sold to effect a partition, 10 whether by licitation or by private sale, may be purchased by a co-owner. 11 B. If a property or interest in the property is purchased by a co-owner, the 12 co-owner shall be credited for his share of the property or interest in the property. 13 The co-owner shall have his share deducted from the purchase price of the property 14 or interest in the property prior to payment.
