COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Vandebilt Catholic High School baseball team on
winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division II state
championship
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Vandebilt Catholic High School baseball team on winning the Louisiana
3 High School Athletic Association 2022 Division II state championship.
4 WHEREAS, the Vandebilt Catholic High School Terriers baseball team captured the
52022 Division II state title by handily defeating University High School, 12-2, in the
6championship game in Hammond, Louisiana, on May 14, 2022; and
7 WHEREAS, the Terriers forced a six-inning run-rule victory in the championship
8match, giving the team a fitting end to its incredibly dominant season; and
9 WHEREAS, the Terriers were led by Head Coach Chad Menard and a host of
10exceptionally talented young men; during the championship, the team was led in hitting by
11Eli David, Diego and Dominic Archila, and Justin Caro; on the mound, the team was led by
12pitcher Owen Schexnaydre; and
13 WHEREAS, the Vandebilt Catholic High School baseball team is most deserving of
14the highest recognition for its incredible season.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Vandebilt Catholic High School baseball
17team on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division II state
18championship and does hereby extend sincere wishes that the team's players and coaches
19continue their incredible work and always strive for greatness.

1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
2principal of Vandebilt Catholic High School.
