Requests the La. Supreme Court to study the costs and benefits of mandatory, legal
professional liability coverage for attorneys in private practice in this state and to study the
benefits of requiring attorneys to provide notification to the La. State Bar Association
regarding whether the attorney has professional liability coverage.
Requests the La. Supreme Court to report its findings from the study to the House Committee
on Insurance on or before Feb. 1, 2023.
