Present law requires certain drivers to complete a driver education course or prelicensing training
course prior to obtaining a license to operate a motor vehicle.
Proposed law exempts foreign nationals in Louisiana under an H-2A Visa that possess a valid
foreign driver's license from the requirements of present law.
Effective August 1, 2022.
