Present law (R.S. 3:3368) provides for the license requirements of structural pest control operators.
Present law further provides for application and examination requirements and requires each
applicant to submit a written application and pass a written examination.
Proposed law retains present law application and examination requirements but removes the
requirement that the application and examination be written.
Present law requires the examination to be administered at the domicile of the Structural Pest
Control Commission within 45 days after the application is received by the commission.
Proposed law requires the examination to be administered at any location approved by the Structural
Pest Control Commission after the application is received by the commission and removes the
requirement that the examination be administered within 45 days.
Effective upon signature of the governor or laps of time for gubernatorial action.
