Prior law (R.S. 3:3368) provided for the license requirements of structural pest control
operators.
Prior law further provided for application and examination requirements and required each
applicant to submit a written application and pass a written examination.
New law retains prior law application and examination requirements but removes the
requirement that the application and examination be written.
Prior law required the examination to be administered at the domicile of the Structural Pest
Control Commission within 45 days after the application was received by the commission.
New law requires the examination to be administered at any location approved by the
Structural Pest Control Commission after the application is received by the commission and
removes the requirement that the examination be administered within 45 days.
Effective upon signature of the governor (May 13, 2022).
