SB 115 Original 2022 Regular Session Mizell
Proposed law requires that within one year of employment all peace officers in the state of Louisiana
complete training on human trafficking from the Peace Officers Standards and Training Counsel
Learning Management System program. Proposed law further provides that all peace officers
employed for one year or more on 8/1/22 must receive training on human trafficking from the Peace
Officers Standards and Training Counsel Learning Management System program by 12/31/22.
Proposed law provides that the Peace Officers Standards and Training Counsel must provide an
annual report detailing compliance percentages to the Senate Committee on Judiciary C by February
15.
Effective August 1, 2022.
