Present law authorizes the Louisiana Public Defender Board to employ a deputy public defender,
director of training. Furthermore, present law provides for the deputy public defender, director of
training, to meet certain qualifications and describes the job duties that must be performed.
Proposed law repeals such authority.
Effective August 1, 2022.
