Present law (R.S. 3:2074) creates the Louisiana Equine Promotion and Research Advisory Board and
provides for the organization of the board.
Present law requires that members serve at the pleasure of the commissioner and serve terms
concurrent with the term of the commissioner making the appointment.
Proposed law removes present law requirement that members serve terms concurrent with the term
of the commissioner making the appointment and otherwise retains present law.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
