Present law provides for parole eligibility for certain offenders under certain circumstances.
Proposed law retains present law and further grants parole eligibility to offenders serving a life
sentence for any offense committed on or before 7/2/73.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
