(8/1/22) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 48:2085, relative to the Louisiana Transportation Authority; to provide for 3 design build projects; to provide for unsolicited proposals; to provide for responsibilities of 4 the Department of Transportation and Development; and to provide for related matters. 5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. R.S. 48:2085 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง2085. Design build projects; authority 8 Notwithstanding any law to the contrary or the requirements of this 9 Chapter, the authority shall accept unsolicited proposals for design build 10 projects. If the authority receives an unsolicited proposal of the design build 11 project, the authority shall notify the department and the department shall 12 review the unsolicited proposal and notify interested bidders by public 13 advertisement throughout the state for a period of thirty days. Interested 14 parties shall submit a formal request of consideration within thirty days. 15 Interested bidders shall be allowed no more than sixty days to submit a proposal 16 including schedule, design, and cost.
