(8/1/22) 1 AN ACT 2 To enact R.S. 48:2085, relative to the Louisiana Transportation Authority; to provide for 3 design build projects; to provide for unsolicited proposals; to provide for responsibilities of 4 the Department of Transportation and Development; and to provide for related matters. 5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana: 6 Section 1. R.S. 48:2085 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง2085. Design build projects; authority 8 Notwithstanding any law to the contrary or the requirements of this 9 Chapter, the authority shall accept unsolicited proposals for design build 10 projects in excess of one hundred million dollars. If the authority receives an 11 unsolicited proposal of the design build project, the authority shall notify the 12 department and the department shall review the unsolicited proposal and notify 13 interested bidders by public advertisement throughout the state for a period of 14 thirty days. Interested parties shall submit a formal request of consideration 15 within thirty days. Interested bidders shall be allowed no more than sixty days 16 to submit an unsolicited proposal including schedule, design, and cost.
