1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 49:164.1, relative to state symbols; to provide for the official state butterfly;
3 and to provide for related matters.
4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. R.S. 49:164.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 ยง164.1. State butterfly
7 There shall be an official state butterfly, which shall be the Gulf
8 Fritillary. The use of its likeness or image on official documents of the state and
9 with the insignia of the state is hereby authorized.
