2022 Regular Session ENROLLED SENATE CONCURRENT RESOL UTION NO. 48 BY SENATOR FESI A CONCURRENT RESOL UTION To recognize and celebrate the family-owned and operated Danos, LLC on the occasion of its seventy-fifth anniversary as a successful business. WHEREAS, brothers-in-law Allen Danos Sr. and Syriaque Curole borrowed two-thousand dollars to establish Danos and Curole as a small tugboat company in Larose, Louisiana, in 1947; and WHEREAS, in 1970, Allen's sons, twenty-four-year-old Allen Jr. and twenty-one-year-old Garrett (Hank), took over the family business after their father's death; and WHEREAS, the second generation owners grew the company, expanding its service offerings and customer base while both serving in the armed forces through the Army Reserve and National Guard; and WHEREAS, third generation owners Eric, Paul, and Mark Danos are now at the helm of the growing organization; and WHEREAS, Danos now employs twenty-five hundred employees and services approximately one hundred fifty customers across seventeen states; and WHEREAS, over the course of seventy-five years, Danos has contributed in an impactful way to employing and developing the men and women who provide the energy that fuels our great nation; and WHEREAS, the company maintains an unwavering commitment to the shared values of integrity, safety, service, respect, and improvement, and its purpose, to honor God and develop great people to solve big challenges for its customers and communities; and WHEREAS, Danos proudly remains family-owned and Louisiana-based. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Danos, LLC and the Danos family on its seventy-fifth anniversary and extend its best wishes for continued success for many years to come.
