SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 159

COMMENDATIONS. Commends the Barbe High School girls golf team on defending its
title at the LHSAA 2022 Division I State Girls Golf Championship.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend the Barbe High School girls golf team on defending its title at the Louisiana
3 High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) 2022 Division I State Girls Golf
4 Championship.
5 WHEREAS, winning the state championship was the culmination of another
6 unforgettable season; and
7 WHEREAS, the Barbe girls golf team dominated the field at The Wetlands Golf
8 Club in Lafayette, Louisiana, to defend its title as the LHSAA Division I Girls State Golf
9 Team Champion; and
10 WHEREAS, the Lady Bucs finished with a two-day team score of three hundred
11 twenty-nine, thirteen strokes ahead of the runner-up team from Dutchtown; and
12 WHEREAS, the team was comprised of juniors Isabella Bradley and Isabella Callaba
13 and senior Sadie Guillory; and
14 WHEREAS, Ms. Bradley finished fourth individually with a two-day total of one
15 hundred sixty-one strokes; Ms. Callaba finished eighth individually with a two-day total of
16 one hundred sixty-nine strokes; and Ms. Guillory finished eighteenth individually with a
17 two-day total of one hundred eighty-three strokes; and
18 WHEREAS, this amazing accomplishment was made possible by many hours of

1 practice and dedication from the players and the enthusiasm and support of Barbe Head
2 Coach Bob Corley and Assistant Coach Sid Bradley; and
3 WHEREAS, the Barbe High School girls golf program upheld the proud traditions
4 of golf during the 2022 season and Barbe High School alumni and fans recognize the
5 immense pride and distinguished honor the state championship title brings to the school,
6 community, and state.
7 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
8 does hereby commend the Barbe High School girls golf team on defending its title at the
9 Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division I State Girls Golf Championship.
10 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
11 principal of Barbe High School.
