SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 6

COMMENDAT IONS. Commends the Claiborne Christian School Lady Crusaders on
winning the Division V State Girls Basketball Championship.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To commend and congratulate the Claiborne Christian School Lady Crusaders on winning
3 the Division V State Girls Basketball Championship.
4 WHEREAS, the Claiborne Christian School Lady Crusaders under the guidance of
5 Coach Erin Perry won the Division V State Girls Basketball Championship; and
6 WHEREAS, overcoming a disappointing loss in last season's championship game,
7 the Lady Crusaders defeated St. Joseph's-Plaucheville 61-35 to win the 2022 Division V
8 State Girls Basketball Championship; and
9 WHEREAS, with seniors Emily Head and Annabelle Russell leading the Lady
10 Crusaders in scoring, back-to-back three pointers by Anna Cate Miller, and the great defense
11 and hard fought rebounds from Allie Wainwright and Lexy Robinson, the Lady Crusaders
12 were successful in winning the championship game and finished their season with a 22-9
13 overall record; and
14 WHEREAS, the Lady Crusaders Girls Basketball Team was composed of team
15 captain and MVP player of the championship game Emily Head, co-captain Annabelle
16 Russell, Ally Bell, Kaylee Duck, Sarah Jowers, Mary Kathryn; Emery Lancaster, Anna Cate
17 Miller, Ella Osborne, Lexy Robinson, Abby Saterfiel, Allie Wainwright, and Lily
18 Wainwright, all true champions who have brought honor and glory to their community and

1 the Claiborne Christian School.
2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
3 does hereby commend and congratulate the 2022 Claiborne Christian School Lady Crusaders
4 on winning the Division V State Girls Basketball Championship.
5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
6 Coach Erin Perry.
