Prior law required that the parents of the child be married at the time of their death for
grandparents to be entitled to post-adoption visitation rights.
New law removes the requirement that the parents of the child be married at the time of the
death of a parent for grandparents to be entitled to post-adoption visitation rights.
Effective August 1, 2023.
