HOUSE BILL NO. 264

Prefiled pursuant to Article III, Section 2(A)(4)(b)(i) of the Constitution of Louisiana.
HIGHWAYS: Designates a bridge located on Louisiana Highway 1 in Pointe Coupee in
Avoyelles, Louisiana, as the "Marion Peter Roy, Sr. Bridge"
1	AN ACT
2To designate certain highways and bridges in the state highway system; to designate the
3 bridge located on Louisiana Highway 1 between Avoyelles and Pointe Coupee as the
4 "Marion Peter Roy, Sr. Bridge"; and to provide for related matters.
5Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana;
6 Section 1.  The bridge located on Louisiana Highway 1 that connects Avoyelles and
7Pointe Coupee parishes as the "Marion Peter Roy, Sr. Bridge".
8 Section 2.  The Department of Transportation and Development or its contractors are
9hereby directed to erect and maintain appropriate signage reflecting this designation
10provided local or private monies are received by the department equal to the department's
11actual cost for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and installations of each sign, not to
12exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars per sign.

Directs the Dept. of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to erect and maintain
appropriate signage reflecting this highway designation provided local or private monies are
received by the DOTD equal to its actual costs for material, fabrication, mounting posts, and
installation of each sign, not to exceed the sum of $550 per sign.
