FUNDS/FUNDING: Repeals certain funds within the state treasury
1	AN ACT
2To repeal Subpart H of Part II of Chapter 30 of Title 3 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of
3 1950, comprised of R.S. 3:4711 and 4712, R.S. 30:136.1(C), Chapter 5 of Subtitle
4 I of Title 30 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, comprised of R.S. 30:301
5 through 303, R.S. 39:98.5, and R.S. 49:214.8.7, relative to special funds within the
6 state treasury; to repeal certain such funds; to provide for effectiveness; to provide
7 for the transfer of remaining balances of such funds; and to provide for related
8 matters.
9Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
10 Section 1.  Subpart H of Part II of Chapter 30 of Title 3 of the Louisiana Revised
11Statutes of 1950, comprised of R.S. 3:4711 and 4712, is hereby repealed in its entirety.
12 Section 2.  R.S. 30:136.1(C) and Chapter 5 of Subtitle I of Title 30 of the Louisiana
13Revised Statutes of 1950, comprised of R.S. 30:301 through 303, are hereby repealed in their
14entirety.
15 Section 3.  R.S. 39:98.5 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
16 Section 4.  R.S. 49:214.8.7 is hereby repealed in its entirety.
17 Section 5.  On the effective date of this Act, any remaining balances in the funds
18repealed herein shall be transferred to the state general fund.
19 Section 6.  This Act shall take effect and become operative if and when the proposed
20amendment of Article VII and Article IX of the Constitution of Louisiana contained in the

1Act which originated as House Bill No. 254 of this 2023 Regular Session of the Legislature
2is adopted at a statewide election and becomes effective.

Abstract: Removes certain funds from the state treasury.
Present law (R.S. 3:4711 and 4712) establishes the Agricultural and Seafood Products
Support Fund and provides for deposits and uses of monies in such fund.
Proposed law repeals present law.
Present law (R.S. 30:136.1) provides for deposits into the Louisiana Investment Fund for
Enhancement.
Proposed law repeals present law.
Present law (R.S. 30:301-303) establishes the Louisiana Investment Fund for Enhancement
and provides for deposits and uses of monies in such fund.
Proposed law repeals present law.
Present law (R.S. 39:98.5) establishes the Millennium Leverage Fund and provides for
deposits and uses of monies in such fund.
Proposed law repeals present law.
Present law (R.S. 49:214.8.7) establishes the Atchafalaya Basin Conservation Fund and
provides for deposits and uses of monies in such fund.
Proposed law repeals present law.
Effective if and when the proposed amendment of Article VII and Article IX of the
Constitution of La. contained in the Act which originated as House Bill No. 254 of this 2023
R.S. of the Legislature is adopted at a statewide election and becomes effective.
