R.S. 4:707.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7 ยง707.1. Limited raffle licenses 8 A. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, there shall be a 9 limited raffle license for certain raffle games. The office shall promulgate rules 10 relative to the issuance of such limited raffle licenses which shall include but not be 11 limited to licensing fees and reporting requirements. The provisions of R.S. 12 4:705(2)(c) and 714(F)(1) shall not apply to any limited raffle license issued 13 pursuant to the provisions of this Section. 14 B. The raffle games to which this Section applies shall include only single 15 games as defined in R.S. 4:707(A)(1), the proceeds of which shall not exceed ten 16 thousand dollars. Proposed law provides for a limited raffle license for certain raffle games. Requires the office of charitable gaming within the Dept. of Revenue to promulgate rules relative to the issuance of such licenses. The rules shall include but not be limited to licensing fees and reporting requirements. Proposed law further provides that the provisions of present law (R.S. 4:705(2)(c)) and 714(F)(1)), relative to the establishment, assessment, and collection of certain fees and proceeds from gaming sessions deposited into a bank account, shall not apply to any limited license issued pursuant to proposed law. Proposed law only applies to single raffle games as defined in present law (R.S. 4:707(A)(1)), the proceeds of which shall not exceed $10,000.
