Abstract: Authorizes a change in transcription fees in all cases.
Present law provides that in all cases a court reporter shall not be paid an amount less than $1.50 or
more than $2.75 per 31-line page for all testimony reported and transcribed and no more than 25ยข
per page for copies.
Proposed law requires the fee amounts for transcripts and copies to be determined by a majority vote
of the judges of the 36
th
JDC to be paid to the court reporters in addition to their salary.
Proposed law provides that the change in court costs or fees shall become effective upon approval
by the Judicial Council.
