Abstract:  Provides for qualifications of members and procedures of the La. Board of Chiropractic
Examiners (board). 
Present law creates the board and provides for the composition of the board.
Proposed law provides that the term of a member of the board shall be four years from the date of
appointment. 
Present law requires the board to notify an applicant for licensure whether his application was
accepted or rejected after investigation of the application, but not less than 30 days prior to
applicant's licensing exam. 
Proposed law changes present law by requiring the board to provide notice within 10 business days
of a determination of acceptance or rejection. 
Proposed law provides that notice of acceptance or rejection may be sent via U.S. Postal Service,
commercial carrier, email, or facsimile.
