Abstract: Enacts a time limit on records that may be addressed in an audit.
Present law provides that a local governmental subdivision, upon reasonable written request, may
review the business records of a cable service provider or video service provider to the extent
necessary to ensure payment of the franchise fee in accordance with present law.
Proposed law amends present law and states that a review shall not address any records produced
more than 3 years from the date the review is commenced.
