COMMENDATIONS: Commends Georgina Dhillon, editor of Kreol Magazine, for her
numerous professional achievements

2To commend Georgina Dhillon, editor of Kreol Magazine and founder of Zari Gallery, for
3 her numerous professional achievements.
4 WHEREAS, Georgina Dhillon is a champion of mixed-race culture and causes; she
5is an experienced businesswoman and international diplomat who proudly supports cross-
6cultural exchanges with the hope of bringing awareness to philanthropic projects that widen
7access to the arts and bring awareness to social and environmental challenges; and
8 WHEREAS, Ms. Dhillon founded Zari Gallery in the Fitzrovia residential area in
9London; the gallery is dedicated to art that transcends borders; she has nurtured and
10championed the works of artists from all backgrounds who are united by their mixed cultural
11heritage; and
12 WHEREAS, Georgina serves as the editor of Kreol Magazine; the publication is
13dedicated to promoting Creole culture around the world by sharing the lively music, creative
14dances, interpretive arts, rich language, and honored traditions of the Creole people and
15linking cultures together; the magazine spotlights Creole individuals who have demonstrated
16success in personal character and in industry, giving both local and global readers the
17opportunity to recognize and applaud their inspiring stories; and
18 WHEREAS, Georgina Dhillon is most deserving of the highest recognition for her
19inspiring work to uplift the Creole culture and highlight its inspiring artistic talent.
20 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
21commend Georgina Dhillon, editor of Kreol Magazine, for her numerous professional

1achievements and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that she continue to prosper in her
2efforts to highlight the Creole culture on a global scale.
