COMMENDATIONS:  Commends the Honorable Gregory A. Miller and expresses
enduring gratitude for his outstanding contributions to the parishes of St. Charles and
St. John the Baptist and the state of Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a
distinguished member of the Louisiana House of Representatives
1	A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Gregory A. Miller and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to the parishes of St. Charles and St. John the Baptist and
4 the state of Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of
5 the Louisiana House of Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Gregory A. Miller is a notable public servant who has served with
7excellence for three terms as a state representative since taking office in 2012, during which
8time he has fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 56 and the state
9in an honorable and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Miller has been a proud member of the Acadiana
11Delegation, the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation, and the Louisiana Rural
12Caucus; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Miller's diligent committee service has included serving
2as chair of the House Committee on Civil Law and Procedure and the House Committee on
3House and Governmental Affairs; he has also served as a member of the House Committee
4on Retirement; and
5 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Miller
6has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
7 WHEREAS, Gregory A. Miller will forever have a special place in the chronicles of
8the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
9 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
10of his life, Representative Miller merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
11contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of the
12Louisiana House of Representatives.
13 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
14Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Gregory A. Miller; does
15hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding contributions during his
16tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been
17marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in the
18parishes of St. Charles and St. John the Baptist and the state of Louisiana; and does hereby
19pay tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his
20intelligence and his energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives does
22hereby express enduring gratitude to Representative Miller for his service to the citizens of
23Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
24body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
25prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
