COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Honorable Raymond E. Garofalo and expresses
enduring gratitude for his outstanding contributions to the parishes of Orleans,
Plaquemines, and St. Bernard and the state of Louisiana, particularly during his
tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of Representatives

2To commend the Honorable Raymond E. Garofalo and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to the parishes of Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard
4 and the state of Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member
5 of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Raymond E. Garofalo is a notable public servant who has served with
7excellence for three terms as a state representative since taking office in 2012, during which
8time he has fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 103 and the
9state in an honorable and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Garofalo has been a proud member of the Louisiana
11Republican Legislative Delegation and the Orleans Delegation; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Garofalo's diligent committee service has included
2serving as chairman of the House Committee on Civil Law and Procedure, the House
3Committee on Education, and the House Select Committee on Disaster Recovery; he also
4served as a member of the House Committees on Administration of Criminal Justice, the
5House Committee on Judiciary, and the House Committee on Natural Resources and
6Environment, and the House Executive Committee; and
7 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
8Garofalo has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
9 WHEREAS, Raymond E. Garofalo will forever have a special place in the chronicles
10of the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
11 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
12of his life, Representative Garofalo merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
13singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
14the Louisiana House of Representatives.
15 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
16Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Raymond E. Garofalo; does
17hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding contributions throughout his
18tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been
19marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in the
20parishes of Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard and the state of Louisiana; and does
21hereby pay tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his
22intelligence and his energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives does
24hereby express enduring gratitude to Representative Garofalo for his service to the citizens
25of Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
26body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
27prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
