A RESOLUTION
To commend the Honorable Raymond E. Garofalo and to express enduring gratitude for his
outstanding contributions to the parishes of Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard
and the state of Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member
of the Louisiana House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, Raymond E. Garofalo is a notable public servant who has served with
excellence for three terms as a state representative since taking office in 2012, during which
time he has fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 103 and the
state in an honorable and dedicated manner; and
WHEREAS, Representative Garofalo has been a proud member of the Louisiana
Republican Legislative Delegation and the Orleans Delegation; and
WHEREAS, Representative Garofalo's diligent committee service has included
serving as chairman of the House Committee on Civil Law and Procedure, the House
Committee on Education, and the House Select Committee on Disaster Recovery; he also
served as a member of the House Committees on Administration of Criminal Justice, the
House Committee on Judiciary, and the House Committee on Natural Resources and
Environment, and the House Executive Committee; and

WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative
Garofalo has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
WHEREAS, Raymond E. Garofalo will forever have a special place in the chronicles
of the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
of his life, Representative Garofalo merits a sincere measure of commendation for his
singular contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of
the Louisiana House of Representatives.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Raymond E. Garofalo; does
hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding contributions throughout his
tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been
marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in the
parishes of Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard and the state of Louisiana; and does
hereby pay tribute to him for the generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his
intelligence and his energy to the service of his family, friends, community, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives does
hereby express enduring gratitude to Representative Garofalo for his service to the citizens
of Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
