COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Honorable Paul Hollis and expresses enduring
gratitude for his outstanding contributions to St. Tammany Parish and the state of
Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana
House of Representatives
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Paul Hollis and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to St. Tammany Parish and the state of Louisiana,
4 particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
5 Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Paul Hollis is a notable public servant who has served with excellence
7for three terms as a state representative since taking office in 2012, during which time he has
8fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 104 and the state in an
9honorable and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Hollis has been a proud member of the Louisiana
11Republican Legislative Delegation and the Northshore Delegation; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Hollis's diligent committee service has included a term
2as vice chair of the House Committee on Commerce; he has also served as a member of the
3House Committee on Insurance, the House Committee on Retirement, and the House
4Committee on Education; and
5 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Hollis
6has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
7 WHEREAS, Paul Hollis will forever have a special place in the chronicles of the
8history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
9 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
10of his life, Representative Hollis merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
11contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of the
12Louisiana House of Representatives.
13 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
14Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Paul Hollis; does hereby
15extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding contributions during his tenure as
16a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been marked
17by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in St. Tammany
18Parish and the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to him for the generous and
19effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and energy to the service of his
20family, friends, community, and state.
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives does
22hereby express enduring gratitude to Representative Hollis for his service to the citizens of
23Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
24body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
25prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
