COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Honorable Sherman Q. Mack and expresses
enduring gratitude for his outstanding contributions to Livingston Parish and the
state of Louisiana, particularly during his tenure as a distinguished member of the
Louisiana House of Representatives
1 A RESOLUTION
2To commend the Honorable Sherman Q. Mack and to express enduring gratitude for his
3 outstanding contributions to Livingston Parish and the state of Louisiana, particularly
4 during his tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of
5 Representatives.
6 WHEREAS, Sherman Q. Mack is a notable public servant who has served with
7excellence for three terms as a state representative since taking office in 2012, during which
8time he has fully used every opportunity to serve the citizens of District No. 95 and the state
9in an honorable and dedicated manner; and
10 WHEREAS, Representative Mack has been a proud member of the Capital Region
11Legislative Delegation and the Louisiana Republican Legislative Delegation; and

1 WHEREAS, Representative Mack's diligent committee service has included terms
2as chair of the House Committee on the Administration of Criminal Justice and vice chair
3of the House Committee on Judiciary; he has also served as a member of the House
4Committee on Insurance and the House Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public
5Works; and
6 WHEREAS, during his time in the House of Representatives, Representative Mack
7has worked on and supported many important pieces of legislation; and
8 WHEREAS, Sherman Q. Mack will forever have a special place in the chronicles of
9the history of Louisiana, for he is one of Louisiana's most outstanding public servants; and
10 WHEREAS, as he prepares to embark on the next exciting and productive chapter
11of his life, Representative Mack merits a sincere measure of commendation for his singular
12contributions and the exemplary strides he has taken as an exceptional member of the
13Louisiana House of Representatives.
14 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
15Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Honorable Sherman Q. Mack; does
16hereby extend honor and recognition to him for his outstanding contributions during his
17tenure as a distinguished member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, which has been
18marked by his uncompromising endeavor to improve the welfare of his constituents in
19Livingston Parish and the state of Louisiana; and does hereby pay tribute to him for the
20generous and effective way in which he has dedicated his intelligence and his energy to the
21service of his family, friends, community, and state.
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Louisiana House of Representatives does
23hereby express enduring gratitude to Representative Mack for his service to the citizens of
24Louisiana, as evidenced by his superlative achievements as a member of this distinguished
25body, and does hereby extend to him the best wishes of all his colleagues for continued
26prosperity and success in his future endeavors.
