HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 61

A RESOLUTION
To commend Vivienne Webb on her selection as a 2023 Louisiana Public Broadcasting
Young Hero.
WHEREAS, for the past twenty-eight years, Louisiana Public Broadcasting's (LPB)
Young Heroes program has recognized state high school students who have excelled in
academics, given significantly of themselves through public service, overcome adversity,
exhibited extraordinary heroism, or displayed exceptional strength of character; and
WHEREAS, Vivienne Webb is a junior at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport,
Louisiana, and is one of the six 2023 Louisiana Public Broadcasting Young Heroes; and
WHEREAS, Vivienne volunteers as a disability rights advocate with Louisiana
Developmental Disability Council's Advocacy Network (LaCAN) and serves as a Be Strong
representative for her region; she is also serving as a gubernatorially appointed member of
the council; she visited the Louisiana capitol and advocated to help obtain $2 million in
funding for the lowest-funded Human Service Districts; she also has autism, anxiety, and
epilepsy; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Webb is a truly inspiring young woman who is most deserving of
the highest recognition for her astounding drive and accomplishments.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Vivienne Webb on her selection as a 2023
Louisiana Public Broadcasting Young Hero and does hereby extend sincerest wishes that she
continue her truly inspiring work and always strive for greatness.
