COMMENDATIONS: Commends the Oak Grove High School football team on winning
the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV state
championship

2To commend the Oak Grove High School football team on winning the Louisiana High
3 School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV state championship.
4 WHEREAS, the Oak Grove High School Tigers claimed the 2022 Division IV state
5title by shutting out the Homer High School Pelicans, 17-0, in the championship game at the
6Caesar's Superdome in New Orleans; and
7 WHEREAS, Tigers Head Coach Ryan Gregory orchestrated the dominant shutout
8victory over Homer, which gives the Oak Grove football program three state titles in the past
9four seasons; and
10 WHEREAS, Tigers senior linebacker, and Oklahoma State University-commit,
11Kameron Franklin was named the game's Most Outstanding Player after delivering an
12incredible performance that included a momentum-shifting, forty-three-yard interception
13return and a crucial late-game fumble recovery; and
14 WHEREAS, Oak Grove finished the season with an impressive record of twelve wins
15and only three losses; more impressively, the Tigers' record once stood at three wins and
16three losses before the team caught fire and closed out the season on a nine-game winning
17streak; and
18 WHEREAS, the coaches, players, and training staff of the Oak Grove High School
19Tigers football team are most deserving of the highest recognition for their incredible
20season.

1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
2Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend the Oak Grove High School football team
3on winning the Louisiana High School Athletic Association 2022 Division IV state
4championship.
