Present law provides that the state appropriations for the program may not exceed $10,000,000 per
year for students enrolled in public postsecondary education institutions.
Present law provides that the state appropriations may not exceed $500,000 for students enrolled in
proprietary schools.
Proposed law provides that the state appropriations for the program may not exceed $10,500,000 per
year for students enrolled in public postsecondary education institutions or proprietary schools.
Proposed law eliminates separate allocations between public and proprietary schools.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
