RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 101 (SB 120) 2023 Regular Session White Prior law provided that the state appropriations for the M. J. Foster Promise Program may not exceed $10,000,000 per year for students enrolled in public postsecondary education institutions. Prior law provided that the state appropriations may not exceed $500,000 for students enrolled in proprietary schools. New law provides that the state appropriations for the program may not exceed $10,500,000 per year for students enrolled in public postsecondary education institutions or proprietary schools. New law eliminates separate allocations between public and proprietary schools. Effective June 6, 2023. (Amends R.S. 17:3047.4(C))
