Present law provides that any loans made by a candidate to his own campaign may be repaid from
campaign funds received in connection with an election in which the candidate qualified for a public
office.
Proposed law provides that any loans made by a candidate to his own campaign may be repaid from
any campaign contributions received.
Effective August 1, 2023.
