ETHICS.  Provides relative to public notice of hearings of the Ethics Adjudicatory Board.

1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 42:1141.4(A)(2), relative to public notice of hearings of the
3 Ethics Adjudicatory Board; to provide for delivery of notice; and to provide for
4 related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1.  R.S. 42:1141.4(A)(2) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
7 ยง1141.4. Notice and procedure

10	(2) The Ethics Adjudicatory Board shall give public notice of its hearings that
11 are conducted pursuant to R.S. 42:1141.5. A copy of this notice shall be mailed to
12 the address to which the respondent was served with the charges pending before
13 the board or a more recent address provided by the respondent or the
14 respondent's attorney of record.

Present law requires that the Ethics Adjudicatory Board to give public notice of its hearings
that are conducted pursuant to present law.
Proposed law retains present law and further requires the notice to be mailed to the address
at which the respondent was served with the charges pending before the board or a more
recent address provided by the respondent or the respondent's attorney of record.
Effective August 1, 2023.
