1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 33:9103(A)(6), relative to communications districts; to provide relative to the
3 board of commissioners of the East Baton Rouge Parish Communications District;
4 to provide for the membership and designation of members; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 33:9103(A)(6) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
9 ยง9103. Board of commissioners; membership; qualifications and terms; powers;
10 parish governing authority as district governing authority

13 (6) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, any
14 member of the board of commissioners on the East Baton Rouge Parish
15 Communications District board may appoint a designee in the event the
16 member cannot attend a meeting.

18 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
19 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
20 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If

1 vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
2 effective on the day following such approval.
