COMMENDATIONS. Congratulates Our Future Our Family Ministries upon the occasion
of the grand opening of their Community Outreach Center & Ministry Services Complex.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To congratulate and commend Our Future Our Families Ministries upon the occasion of the
3 grand opening of their Community Outreach Center & Ministry Services Complex.
4 WHEREAS, Our Future Our Families Ministries is a nondenominational ministry
5 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and
6 WHEREAS, Our Future Our Families Ministries serves the community with a
7 mission of addressing the needs of others through acts of kindness and service; and
8 WHEREAS, Our Future Our Families Ministries has been proactive in its approach
9 to community support since its inception in 2017; and
10 WHEREAS, founders Reverend Chisolu P. Isiadinso, Reverend Sha'Myra Williams-
11 Louis, and Pastor Montrell "Ruffy Jovan" Henderson prioritized the needs of children as an
12 area of focus; and
13 WHEREAS, Our Future Our Families Ministries fulfills its vision of serving as an
14 advocate for strengthening the character, values, and life skills of students by providing the
15 youth of North Baton Rouge with structured programs that foster personal development
16 within a safe, loving, and supportive environment; and
17 WHEREAS, student participation in these programs has flourished as the result of
18 input from East Baton Rouge Parish School System Superintendent Dr. Sito J. Narcisse and

1 his chief of staff, Caron Smith; and
2 WHEREAS, the Our Future Our Families organization now has a waiting list of over
3 two thousand families seeking its services; and
4 WHEREAS, Our Future Our Families Ministries has grown from its humble
5 beginnings in a small building off Government Street to a twenty thousand square foot
6 facility on Plank Road; and
7 WHEREAS, after a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, construction of a new
8 facility began after partnering with local business leaders Parker Lombard of Home Depot
9 stores, Johnny Fife of Arkel Construction, Sam Smith Jr., of Smith Tank & Steel, Mike
10 Wampold of Wampold Companies; and
11 WHEREAS, Our Future Our Families Ministries was blessed with financial
12 assistance from Mick Dubuis of PatchMaster Drywall Repair, Brenda Cedars of Douglas
13 Flooring, and ABK Constructors, whose generous acts were vital for the completion of the
14 project; and
15 WHEREAS, after years of prayer and hard work, Our Future Our Families proudly
16 opened the doors to its new Community Outreach Center & Ministry Services Complex on
17 Sunday, May 21, 2023, and is poised to continue its role of service to all who enter.
18 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
19 does hereby congratulate and commend Our Future Our Families Ministries upon the
20 occasion of the grand opening of their Community Outreach Center & Ministry Services
21 Complex.
22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
23 Our Future Our Families Ministries.
