SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 60

CONDOLENCES. Expresses condolences and honors the life of Rhyann Green.
1 A RESOLUTION
2 To express sincere and heartfelt condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
3 to the family of Rhyann Danielle Green-Davis upon the occasion of her passing.
4 WHEREAS, Rhyann was born on June 6, 2005 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Danita
5 Ann Green and Robert Davis Jr.; and
6 WHEREAS, a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Rhyann was a member of the
7 Messiah Missionary Baptist Church and attended Oak Park Elementary School, Ray D. Molo
8 Middle School, and most recently, Washington Marion Magnet High School; and
9 WHEREAS, Rhyann was an honor student and during high school was involved in
10 Student Council, Beta Club, Explorers Club, and Honor Society, and was also on the dance
11 line with the Dancing Dolls; and
12 WHEREAS, Rhyann was elected the school's 2022 Homecoming Queen and was to
13 graduate with honors in May and planned to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette;
14 and
15 WHEREAS, On April 22, 2023, at the young age of seventeen, Rhyann's courageous
16 battle with leukemia ended and she gained her wings; and
17 WHEREAS, Rhyann leaves to cherish her loving memories her mother, Danita Ann
18 Green; father, Robert Davis Jr.; sister, Destin King; bothers Robert Davis III and Kashton;

1 grandmothers Theresa Green and Darvill Davis; grandfather Robert Davis; and a host of
2 aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
3 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
4 does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family of Rhyann Danielle
5 Green-Davis upon the occasion of her passing.
6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
7 family of Rhyann Danielle Green-Davis.
